Customer Service Advisor

Location: Middlesbrough
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £19,000 with bonus opportunities of £900 per annum
Hours: Full Time

Our Client is looking for a Customer Services Advisor with customer sales experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry, to join their successful and expanding sales team. If you are a committed, driven individual who can develop new business as well as servicing existing customer requirements then we want to hear from you.

Job Accountabilities

• Respond to sales enquiries and customer requirements by phone, electronically or in


• Generate and qualify leads and enquiries

• Source and develop client referrals

• Follow and implement sales action plans and strategies

• Schedule and follow up on sales activity

• Develop and maintain our client database

• Become familiar with marketing and promotional materials in order to maximise sales

• Deliver planned marketing activities

• Make sales calls to new and existing clients

• Maintain sales activity records

• Ensure customer service satisfaction and develop excellent client relationships

• Perform quality checks on product and service information

• Advise customers on products and services

• Input customer order requirements

• Participate in sales events as required

Technical Competencies

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar sales/customer service related role, ideally within a manufacturing environment

• Able to build and successfully manage key relationships

• Ability to write concisely in plain English

• Ability to apply a pragmatic approach to problem solving

• Willing to work towards core industry and other relevant qualifications

• Good IT skills

• Able to organise own diary / workload in order to meet commitments and targets

• Attention to detail



Monday to Friday (9am-5pm , Wednesday 8:30am-5pm)
