Our client are seeking to recruit an experienced Account Manager in the South East of England to join their sales team
The Account Manager is responsible for representing the company and its products and services within a defined territory in the UK (South East). Achieving agreed annual sales targets that are communicated at the beginning of each financial year, while maintaining gross profit margins. All goals are to be achieved while upholding company policies and procedures. He/she is responsible for developing relationships with existing and new users of the business portfolio. Also required to develop new business opportunities within the South East territory. An understanding of orthopaedics and /or orthopaedic rehabilitation medical devices is desirable, as is a good understanding of procedural sales into the medical device environment.
What is Required:
Successful sales experience within the NHS Hospital and/or Primary Care sectors, or in a similar selling environment is desired. A proven track record of achievement and account management is required, with ortho & trauma sales experience being preferred.

Essential duties & responsibilities
Customer Relationships
• Target and contact key customers/decision makers within specified time scales
• Establish working relationships with key surgeons and key hospital personnel within the defined geographical area.
• Review account sales history & knowledge continuously. Visit all accounts regularly to identify current usage & future needs, advising customers of new products and services available.
• Prioritise sales and marketing activities to the most profitable accounts, whilst maintaining current customer relationships and actively seeking out potential new customers/business.
Product Knowledge
• Attend and participate in sales meetings and relevant product & personal skills development training programmes.
• Participate in skills development and education programmes for customers, colleagues and 3rd parties as necessary. Attend relevant trade shows (with Manager approval)
• Ensure that any training taken is fully understood (including workshops), and request more if necessary.
• Develop product and technical knowledge to a high level and be able to physically demonstrate all products to prospective clients demo stock

Laptop and Company Phone will be provided and the salary includes car allowance
